Nassima Kerras

PhD in Sociolinguistics and Translation from the University of Granada. Her research focuses on issues related to the evolution of languages, identity and culture. She is a member of the Translation, Knowledge and Culture research group.

Nassima is a professor of culture and languages (Arabic and French) at Pompeu Fabra University. She teaches courses on Arab culture and French-speaking societies related to various topics such as interculturality, identity, terrorism, otherness, globalization, immigration, integration, education, gender, etc. She also coordinates degree projects (TFG) in the Global Studies. She is also a lecturer at the University of Barcelona, Blanquerna, the UAB and Esade where she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate classes in languages, culture, sociolinguistics and language policy.
